New Album "WAKE" Set to Release in Early 2019
Following a successful crowdfunding campaign, WAKE nears completion at Echoes recording studio in Sharpsburg, MD. Woven through WAKE are themes of grief & gratitude and love & loss. This community collaborative project has more than 15 musicians and artists involved in the making of CassiRaye's second, twelve track album. Chuck the Maddox was a special guest beatboxer on the song titled, "Say My Name". Arvind Venugopal weaves his traditional Sanskrit singing throughout the song, "Souls Teaching". Osa the Healer is featured on "Jamaica in January"- Just to name a few of the talented artists featured in WAKE. Heavily influenced by the Sanctuaries arts collective based in Washington DC, CassiRaye collaborated with a hand full of musicians in the collective who offered a diverse, multicultural sound to WAKE.
